The Little Plate

It’s called “the little plateand little plates is what you get – albeit small but filled with delicious offerings.

Increasingly popular, this style of shared dining affords an opportunity to experience a variety of dishes.

This is also a little place with half of the diners inside and half of them out – alfresco style.

Bookings, most certainly, are essential at this licensed establishment which offers good wines, unique beers and ciders.  BYO wine is quite acceptable.

The menu is innovative and offers many different taste sensations. Helpful and pleasant staff can assist with your selection of dishes.

The king prawns in ginger, turmeric, nigela seed and fresh coriander sauce are tasty while the Cajun prawn and crab cakes with a smoked artichoke aioli are very different and delicious.

Sticky pork belly is well cooked and comes on a warm salad of beets, fennel, Persian feta and pistachios.

The dessert menu is very tempting and the cannoli filled with lemon curd custard served with mint and a cashew nut pesto is a treat well worth trying.

For the chocolate lovers there is a walnut and chocolate torte, rum ganache and espresso ice cream.

This is a little gem amid an interesting and ever evolving

Burleigh dining scene.
